The Butler Health System Food Institute, which provides healthy fare to food insecure families and teaches them how to prepare it, has found that many households in their program do not have the basic utensils needed to prepare the food they receive from the institute.

So a utensil drive was initiated in which anyone can purchase various items such as cutting boards, can openers, knives, measuring cups, spoons and other accessories.

To participate in the utensil drive, log onto butlerhealthsystem.org, type “Food Institute” into the search box, and click on the Food Institute. Scroll down to click on “BHS Food Institute Wish List” to donate an item.
