CRANBERRY TWP — Two drivers were taken to a Pittsburgh hospital after their vehicles collided on Franklin Road Wednesday evening.

Township police report a southbound driver crossed into the northbound lane, colliding with the other vehicle about 8 p.m.

Although the drivers’ names were not released, police confirmed they are township residents.

Police report the injuries to the drivers were not life-threatening.

The southbound driver is being cited for reckless driving and not driving on the right side of the road.

Franklin Road was closed near its intersection with Hazelwood Drive.

Crews cleared the scene at 10:14 p.m.
