2:52 p.m. Wednesday — Christian A. Manny, 24, was arrested on charges he struck his sister during a domestic dispute at their home on Broad Street.
Police said the victim told them that she and Manny got into an argument, and that he started kicking her. At some point, he also allegedly struck her in the forehead. Police noted the victim had swelling on her forehead.
Manny was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bond following arraignment.
11:45 a.m. Tuesday — Jonathan D. Felock, 39, who is homeless, was arrested after police said he shoplifted food items three separate times at the same store on that same morning.
Police suspect Felock first struck at the Butler Food Mart on Center Avenue around 8:30 a.m., when he reportedly swiped a package of cupcakes, a cereal bar and a cup of coffee, according to court documents. The items are valued at a combined $4.38.
A store employee notified authorities after the defendant returned around 9:10 a.m., this time allegedly taking a $2.99 package of sour gummy candy without paying for it. Police were called back to the store around 10:10 a.m. after the suspect came back and allegedly stole another $2.99 bag of sour gummies.
A holdup alarm at 11:45 a.m. sent police to the store one more time. Officers arrived and found Felock talking to an employee. Police noted that a check of the defendant’s criminal history turned up two prior shoplifting convictions.
Felock was arraigned on three felony counts of retail theft, and initially placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,000 bond. The next day he was released on unsecured bond and taken to the hospital for unspecified reasons.
8:40 p.m. Oct. 12 — Juan A. Aguirre, 47, was arrested on charges he bit the shoulder of a woman during a domestic dispute at their home on East Boyd Avenue.
Police said the victim had a bite mark on her left shoulder, and she was crying and in “severe pain,” according to court documents.
Aguirre was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond following arraignment.
10:20 p.m. Friday — Police arrested Gregory L. Tippett Jr., 43, of Butler after they said he struck a woman with an extended candle lighter until the lighter broke during a domestic dispute at a home on the 800 block of Wood Street.
The woman recounted that she was on the couch and arguing with the defendant when he repeatedly hit her with the lighter, court documents said. Police described her injuries as a moderate-sized welt and a scrape on her right wrist and redness on her left forearm.
Tippett was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. He is free on $2,000 bond.
1:26 p.m. Oct. 7 — Jaileene Brown, 28, was arrested after she allegedly assaulted a man during a domestic dispute at her home on the 400 block of Shore Street.
The victim told police that Brown is the mother of his children and that she struck him on the left side of the face, breaking his eyeglasses, according to court documents. Police noted his face was red and swollen.
Brown was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and later released on nonmonetary bond.

8:47 p.m. Oct. 9 — A vehicle struck a mailbox at 1379 Campbell Run Road in Kittanning Township, Armstrong County, and fled the scene heading south.
Police could not locate the vehicle.
2 p.m. Oct. 11 — A juvenile boy reported missing was found and returned to his parents.
10:09 p.m. Monday — Tara Wolfe, 21, of Karns City has been charged with retail theft after being found with Walmart merchandise, according to a police report.
The stolen goods, various makeup products and jewelry were valued at $131.59.
Wolfe was apprehended by Walmart Loss Prevention and transferred to state police.

4:03 p.m., Oct. 10 — Edward R. Holmes, 59, of Slippery Rock was cited for following too closely and causing a crash, according to a police report.
Driving a 2013 Chrysler 200, Holmes rear-ended a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Walter B. Montgomery, 59, of Mercer, Pa., who had slowed down for a car turning left in front of him.
Neither driver was injured, and there were no passengers.
