In loving memory of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Herbert N. Richey, who passed away 20 years ago today, February 1, 1997.

The Inheritance

Our mothers and fathers strove to imbue

The Christian virtues of love, joy,

Peace, patience,

kindness...

In their children.

They labored that their sons and daughters

Might carry on

The mercy of Christ.

Let us also follow in their footsteps

And give to our children

And our children’s children

This Godly heritage.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life.

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Forever.” (Psalm 23:6)

Sadly missed, yet rejoicing in Christ’s resurrection.
