Aug. 17 — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Adrian Q. Nicelli, 19, in connection with the alleged assault of his 17-year-old girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his apartment on the 100 block of South Washington Street.Nicelli, who was gone by the time police arrived, is accused of punching the victim in the face. She suffered a bloody lip. Nicelli is charged with simple assault.Aug. 17 — Catherine A. Kocak, 63, of Sarver, is charged with drugged driving under the influence of a controlled substance stemming from a traffic stop last month at North Chestnut and West North streets. Police said she was pulled over around 5:40 p.m. July 29.Kocak eventually was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which showed she had prescription medication in her system, according to court documents.12:42 a.m. Aug. 16 — Antonio D. Steadman, 47, was arrested after he allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face, pointed a kitchen knife at her and threatened to kill her during a domestic dispute at his apartment on the 300 block of Franklin Street.He was arraigned on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and simple assault. He was placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bond.The victim told police, according to court documents, that Steadman threatened her life while pointing the knife at her right eye and holding it to her throat. She said he also punched her right eye, which was bruised and swollen.7:09 p.m. Aug. 14 — Jerrod A. Armstrong, 40, was charged with having marijuana outside his home on the 300 block of West North Street. Police said they found him after being called for a man passed out on sidewalk steps.Armstrong was unresponsive, according to court documents, but came to after an officer shook him. Police said he later pulled a plastic bag from one of his pockets and dropped it on the ground. He began to walk away from officers.He denied the bag, which contained suspected marijuana, was his, documents said. Armstrong is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Monday — Sean D. McJunkin, 43, of Butler, was charged with having suspected drugs and other contraband stemming from a traffic stop last week on Hansen Avenue. Police said McJunkin was a passenger in the vehicle they pulled over around 10:15 a.m. Aug. 17.He is charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Aug. 12 — Jacob A. Martin-Rivers, 23, who is homeless, was arraigned on charges he broke into a motel room and took three items from a car last month at the Days Inn on Route 8 south.He is accused of breaking into a room through a ground-floor window July 7. Damage was estimated at $525. That same day, according to court documents, he allegedly entered a car at the motel parking lot and took a Bluetooth speaker and two survival-style bracelets, worth a combined $55.Martin-Rivers was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass and misdemeanor charges of theft from a vehicle and criminal mischief. He is free on pretrial supervision.
12:17 a.m. Tuesday — Amy J. Parson, 19, of Prospect, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car overturned down an embankment on Kelly Road in Muddy Creek Township. She was not injured, but her car had to be towed.2:35 a.m. Monday — Kurt W. Speicher, 35, of Portersville, was arrested after he fled police on Route 19 in Portersville. Police said they found Speicher after they got a call for a welfare check of a suspicious man.Troopers identified Speicher and learned there was a warrant for him, according to a police report. He fled, but was later caught.Speicher was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension of prosecution, loitering and prowling at night, possession of drug paraphernalia, trespass and disorderly conduct. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond following arraignment.
