Small Business Association asks for award nominations
The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Western Pennsylvania District Office is calling for small business owners to share their stories and nominate other business owners for its 2020 National Small Business Week awards program.
Kelly Hunt, the SBA’s Western Pennsylvania District director, said her office is now accepting nominations for small business person of the year, veteran-owned small business person of the year, exporter of the year and young entrepreneur of the year.
“For half a century, we’ve been honoring those entrepreneurs who took their ideas and passions and created dynamic small business,” Hunt said. “A National Small Business Week award nomination is a great way to acknowledge those individuals who consistently stand out in their communities.”
The SBA national awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., during National Small Business Week, which runs from May 3 to 9.
The SBA Western Pennsylvania District will honor local winners at a celebration to be announced.
Nomination packages must be hand delivered or emailed to SBA Western Pennsylvania District Office by 3 p.m. Jan. 7.
