The Butler Transit Authority on Tuesday raised the pay of its employees by 3 to 4 percent.

The authority has five part-time and five full-time employees and a grant writer.

“(It’s) depending on the individual,” said board member Larry Lutz about employees who got different raises.

The grant writer’s wages are hourly, and were raised by $5 per hour.

Also approved at the meeting was the buying of radios for two buses at a total cost of $1,817.

Several changes were made to Route 3, effective April 1.

Route 3 will begin serving Butler Health System’s Crossroads Campus on Oneida Valley Road at the intersection of routes 422 and 38.

It will no longer service the Community Health Clinic because of a lack of riders, according to executive director John Paul.

Route 3 has a new north Butler stop. Instead of East Brady and Valley streets, the stop will be at Delwood Road and Jefferson Street Extension.
