Dec. 7 — An unknown person stole $100 from a car belonging to Justin Ewing, 28, of East Butler.

Butler Township

2:10 p.m. Dec. 8 — Bodacious Ann Emerick, 30, of Butler faces a retail theft charge after police picked her up from Walmart’s custody for allegedly failing to scan 36 items valued at $215.54.

2:37 p.m. Nov. 24 — Margaret Collins, 63, of Butler was charged with retail theft for not scanning 17 items at Walmart that the retailer claims she was going to take with her when leaving the store. The merchandise is valued at $59.98.

2:32 a.m. Nov. 11 — Jennifer Jo Ekas, 46, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving. Police said that a car being driven by Ekas on Nov. 11 was drifting back and forth over the fog and center line on Route 68 near the intersection with Alameda Park Road.

Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement

Officers with the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and State Police used a minor to buy alcohol throughout Butler County. The effort was a test to see how many places would sell liquor to a minor. Out of six businesses that they tested, none sold alcohol to the minor.
