Butler Police3:39 p.m. Nov. 10 — A car driven by Loretta Brown, 84, of Butler collided with a car driven by Amanda Fichter, 18, of Petrolia at the intersection of North Main and North streets. The impact sent Fichter’s car into a legally parked car owned by George Steere of Butler. Brown was cited for running a red light.

Butler Twp PoliceWednesday — Matthew McCalman, 36, of Portersville was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and reckless driving.Police found McCalman unconscious in his vehicle at 12:15 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Butler Commons shopping center. He is accused of injecting himself with a controlled substance and overdosing while driving.Tuesday — Albert Mastrocesare, 32, of Butler was charged with simple assault and harassment after allegedly injuring a 32-year-old woman during an altercation at Whitestown Road at 11:41 p.m. Nov. 11. The woman did not require medical attention.Tuesday — Christine Banfield, 28, of Valencia was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness after police responded to a reported overdose at the Butler Commons Walmart off New Castle Road at 12:36 p.m. Oct. 21.

State Police, Mercer5:36 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Joshua Yates, 43, of Grove City hit a ditch along Tieline Road in Pine Township. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.11:30 p.m. Nov. 7 — A vehicle driven by Israel Lawrence, 18, of Slippery Rock crossed over the northbound lane of Springfield Church Road in Findley Township onto the east berm for another 200 feet before hitting a tree. The driver received minor injuries.
