State police are investigating the weekend deaths of two men in Butler County.

Foul play is not suspected in the unrelated deaths, authorities said. At least one of the victims possibly died of an overdose.

Autopsies were performed on both men — Martin Hubenthal, 43, of Marion Township and David McCreary, 59, of Pittsburgh— but the final results, including cause of death, are pending toxicology reports.

Hubenthal was found dead about 7 a.m. Saturday on the front porch at his parents' house on County Line Road in Marion Township, investigators said.

A machinist who worked in East Palestine, Ohio, Hubenthal would stay the weekends at his parent's home. His parents told authorities that they last saw him alive about 10 p.m. Friday.

A Butler County deputy coroner pronounced him dead at the scene. Superior Ambulance drove the body to Butler, where an autopsy was performed about 6 p.m. Saturday.

There was no sign of trauma on the body, investigators said, and the death was not considered suspicious.

McCreary died Saturday night at a friend's home on Naughton Circle in Forward Township. Butler County Deputy Coroner Larry Barr pronounced him dead about 11 p.m.

The friend found McCreary unconscious in the living room and he called 911 shortly before 9:30 p.m. Authorities said the friend reported the victim possibly suffered an overdose.

A Butler Ambulance Service crew tried to revive McCreary but to no avail. Investigators said they found full and empty stamp bags of suspected heroin around him.

An autopsy was performed Sunday morning.
