The Mars Area High School guidance office will offer a Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency Financial Aid Jump Start webinar at 6:30 p.m. April 7.

The program, open to parents of students in grades nine through 11, will discuss college costs, the latest headlines and trends, website resources, scholarships, grants, financial aid terminology, federal and student aid, FAFSA forms, loans, work study programs and more.

Mars Area School District will begin accepting completed registration packets for Mars Area Primary Center's 2021-2022 kindergarten program at the school's Kindergarten Lottery Registration Day, beginning 9:30 a.m. April 16 at Mars Area Centennial School.The selection of the AM or PM Kindergarten session is done through a lottery system. Distributed lottery tickets began with number 700 and a total of 215 tickets were handed out Feb. 25 and 26. No additional lottery tickets will be distributed.Lottery tickets matching the student's name must be presented at the Lottery Registration Day event.
