North Catholic's boys tennis team qualified for the PIAA Tournament with a 4-1 win over Valley in a play-in game.

The Trojans have a tennis team for the first time in more than 30 years.

Nicolas Scheller, Brody Golla and Alex Garvey all won at singles for North. Jaren Thimons and Justin Kontul won at No. 1 doubles while Kenneth Canavan and Justin Siket dropped a tight match at No. 2 doubles.

The Trojans lost their regular season match to Valley two weeks ago. North Catholic begins PIAA tourney play Tuesday against the District 10 champion.
