Crytzer 90th birthday

Mary Frances Crytzer

Mary Frances Crytzer of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday with a quiet family dinner April 1 at Natili’s Restaurant in Butler.

Born March 31, 1921, she has lived almost all her life in Butler.

Fran is the oldest of the seven children of the late Samuel A. and Helen Namee Isaac of Butler.

She married John G. Crytzer on Nov. 23, 1946. He is deceased.

She has one child, Glenn Crytzer of Butler. She also has two grandchildren.

Mrs. Crytzer was a homemaker. Before her marriage, she worked at Grant’s, the Spade Shirt Factory and Pullman Standard. After her marriage, she was employed as secretary for Andrea’s School of Dance.

She was a longtime worker in Ward 3 for the Butler County Election Bureau for primary and general elections.

An avid bowler, she participated in a number of Butler-area leagues. She also loved playing cards and belonging to a card club composed of her sisters and lifelong friends.

She is a member of the Butler Chapter of the Order of the Easter Star, the St. Anthony’s Ladies Guild and the Home League of the Salvation Army.

She has held memberships with St. Peter’s Anglican (Episcopal) Church, the Queen Elizabeth Lodge of the Rebekahs, the Musical Theater Guild, TOPS Club and the Butler Band Parents. She was past president of the Lorraine Chapter of the Order of DeMolay Mothers’ Club. She also was a volunteer worker for the Musical Theater Guild, Butler Little Theatre, Butler Summer Dramatics Project and the Salvation Army.

She is a member of St. Anthony’s Orthodox Church.
