BUTLER TWP — Butler School Board members Monday night approved having a new bus transportation analysis done.
The two-phase analysis will be done by ARIN Intermediate Unit 28 of Indiana, Pa., for $16,500. It will look at transportation issues regarding the building consolidation plans under consideration, creating efficient bus routes and preparing a transportation cost analysis.
Dale Lumley, superintendent, said the transportation model can be looked at anew since the school district and its consulting firm Thomas & Williamson have existing transportation plans in place.
BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College will host NASCAR driver Jimmy Weller from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Succop Theater. BUTLER TWP — The Same Page Parenting Ministry will hold its annual Internet safety update seminar from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Butler County Community College.Speakers will include Phillip Little, coordinator of the state attorney general's office on education and outreach; and Anthony Marmo, deputy attorney general. The event also will include refreshments and a 30-minute home computer security review certificate.The event either will be held in the BC3 public safety building or Founders Hall, based on the number of people that will attend.
