Tom Bowser, founder of Fishbone Ministries in Butler's Island neighborhood, leads a small group of volunteers as part of the first Praying for You walk in Butler on Saturday. Butler community members and religious leaders from various denominations have begun Saturday walks in city neighborhoods during the COVID-19 pandemic, stopping to pray with area residents who wish it. Organizers have been handing out signs with red crosses to be posted in the windows of residents who wish to participate. Bowser said it was inspired as an effort to return a sense of community during the lockdown.
