EAST BRADY - The 20th annual East Brady Area Riverfest will run today through Sunday in the town square with "An Allegheny Beach Party" theme.The parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. tonight.The festival will include performers and bands, a line dance demonstration, auction, limbo and hula hoop contest, parade, fireworks, a bike and pet parade, food, crafts, novelty vendors and inflatables for children.

CRANBERRY TWP--Cranberry Historical Society's Music-on-the-Lawn series will offer performances at 7 p.m. Sunday and July 24 on the grounds of the Sample one-room schoolhouse at the Cranberry Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.Seth McCall on the fiddle will be featured on Sunday and the vocal duet The Coffee Grounds is scheduled July 24.For more information, call Bev Magill at 724-538-4681.

EAST BRADY - "The Great Steam Era" is being exhibited at the East Brady Library.A Norbeck Research Educational Library exhibit, "The Great Steam Era" has been seen by millions of people in more than 37 countries on all seven continents as well as in all 50 states. It deals with Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln and USS Harry S. Truman, among others.The exhibit will continue through July 28. GROVE CITY - The Grove City Street Fair on Aug. 4 to 6 has changed some events, expanded the children's festival and added a rib barbecue.One of its changes occurred because of the revitalization project planned for downtown.When planning began for the street fair, the Grove City Chamber of Commerce had expected for the streets to be under construction and did not book carnival rides, according to Dorene Powell, an event coordinator for the chamber. Now, with revitalization delayed a year, the fair can continue in its traditional location.In addition to the usual food vendors, each day will have special entertainment in the evening. Performing will be country band Calico Cowboys on Aug. 4; oldies band Peppermint Twist on Aug. 5, and a soft rock band and local bands in JamFest on Aug. 6."Hometown Hoedown," from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 4, may include a petting zoo and butter making. "Blast off to Fitness," from 1 to 6 p.m. Aug. 5, will be dedicated to health activities with some sponsored by the YMCA.For information or to learn more about vending, contact the chamber at 724-458-6410.

SLIPPERY ROCK - Center United Presbyterian Church, Maple and Center Streets, will be the site of a quilt show from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 22.Displayed will be full-sized quilts, wall hangings, and the "Underground Quilt."Admission is free.

MEADVILLE - RAM III, the production company that has brought professional theater to the Academy Theatre at 275 Chestnut St., will continue the children's theater program throughout 2005.The children's theater program begins at 11 a.m. every Friday and Saturday.
