Butler Little Theatre will hold auditions for the first show of its 71st season, “A Trip to Bountiful” at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theater at One Howard St.

There are roles for a woman who can play age 60 to 70; two women age 20 to mid 30s; and five men in their mid 20s to mid 50s. No prepared piece is necessary.

The New Castle Playhouse will conduct auditions for the musical “The Wizard of Oz” both Sunday and Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. for children ages 6 to 12 and from 7 to 8 p.m. for adults (including Dorothy).

Show dates are Nov. 11 to Dec. 4.

More auditions are scheduled by the Sing Hosanna! group.

Auditions for principal and featured roles in the fall production of “Fiddler on the Roof” will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 29 and 30 in the group’s Stewart Hall, 310 W. Airport Road.

Callbacks will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 1.

No tryouts are necessary for the adult ensemble (at least age 12 by Sept. 1) or younger ensemble (age 7 by Sept. 1 through age 11).

Rehearsals for the adult ensemble will start Sept. 8 and be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays and some Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings. Rehearsals for the younger ensemble will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sundays starting Sept. 25.

The show will go on Nov. 11, 12 and 13 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

Volunteers to help with set construction, scenery painting and other backstage duties are needed.

The Armstrong Community Theater will hold auditions for the play “Crumpled Classics” at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 and at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at the Worthington Civic Center, 218 E. Main St., Worthington.
