1:11 p.m. Saturday — Steven A. Fulmer, 27, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman while she was holding her newborn baby during a reported domestic incident at an apartment on the 1000 block of West New Castle Street.
The victim told police that Fulmer punched her at least twice in the head, according to court documents, and grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head into the wall. She suffered lumps and bruising on her head. No other injuries were reported.
Fulmer was arranged on charges of child endangerment and simple assault, and he was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.
June 4 — Nicholas J. Morabito, 26, of Butler was charged with having pills without a prescription and drug contraband stemming from a traffic stop last month on West Brady Street near North Church Street. Police said they pulled him over around 1:15 a.m. May 22.
A search of his car, according to court documents, turned up a pill bottle with no label that had suspected Nerontin and Adderall in it. Also found was a drug-smoking device and marijuana “dab pen.”
Morabito is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
4:13 a.m. June 3 — Erin H. Cecere, 34, was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend during a domestic dispute at her home on West Boyd Avenue. The victim suffered scratches to his neck, police said.
Cecere was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and released on $2,500 unsecured bond.
State Police, Butler
7:11 p.m. Monday — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 356 in Winfield Township. The collision occurred when a car driven by Dale M. Hartzell, 25, of Cabot attempted to make a left turn in front of a car driven by Marcella C. Gruchalak, 29, of Cheswick, Allegheny County.
Gruchalak and her passenger, Kaitlin M. Gruchalak, 28, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, both suffered apparent minor injuries. Police cited Hartzell for making an improper left turn.
2:50 p.m. Monday — Sheri L. McKissick, 50, of Butler was injured when a cargo van rear-ended the sport utility vehicle she was driving on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. She suffered an apparent minor injury. Tyler P. Bartley, 33, of Butler was the other driver.
9:21 p.m. Sunday — No one was injured when an SUV with eight occupants, six of them children, struck a deer on Interstate 79 north in Muddy Creek Township. Jason K. Gibson, 41, of New Castle was driving the vehicle.
2:24 a.m. Saturday — Edward Yough, 58, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Route 8 in Clay Township.
5:28 p.m. May 31 — An SUV driven by Mary P. Haffely, 62, of Imperial, Allegheny County, struck a deer on I-79 south in Jackson Township. Neither she nor her passenger was injured.

11:14 p.m. May 30 — A 52-year-old Kittanning man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 north in North Buffalo Township. Charges are pending, and police did not immediately release the man’s name.
4:39 p.m. May 22 — John Jenkins, 26, of Avonmore, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at Sportsman and Simick roads in North Buffalo Township. Charges are pending lab results.
