5:30 p.m. Sunday — Stephen M. Fichter, 52, of Fenelton was arrested after allegedly punching a 16-year-old Fenelton boy in the face and head on Route 422 east in Clearfield Township. Police did not immediately identify the boy.Fichter, who is charged with simple assault and harassment, was placed in Butler County Prison.5:52 a.m. Sunday — Riane H. Telesz, 18, of Volant, Lawrence County, lost control of her car and struck a tree after traveling through a yard and hitting a stump along Branchton Road just west of Industrial Drive in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Telesz was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.1:30 a.m. Sunday — Muhammad Abdulhafith, 30, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and drug possession on Route 8 about one-half mile south of McCalmont Road in Penn Township.Sunday — Donald Cover, 58, of Monongahela, Washington County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI following an alleged “rolling domestic” on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Cover is accused of assaulting a 48-year-old Finleyville, Washington County, woman.He was placed in Butler County Prison to await arraignment on charges of DUI and simple assault. The 48-year-old woman, who police did not immediately identify, also was cited for harassment.1:15 p.m. Saturday — Two Erie County women were hurt when their sport utility vehicle struck a deer on I-79 in Jackson Township. The driver, Amy L. Haywood, 35, and her passenger, Bernadette A. Oday, 62, both of Waterford, both suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.11:57 a.m. Saturday — Richard L. Ehringer, 71, of Bethel Park, Allegheny County, swerved his car to avoid a pot hole and struck an oncoming pickup truck on West Main Street just west of Belle Street in Evans City.Police said Ehringer, who crossed over the double yellow line, was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road. Adam R. Tohey, 20, of McDonald, Washington County, was driving the pickup.9:44 p.m. Friday — Fredrick Califato, no age given, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422, east of the North Shore exit in Muddy Creek Township. Police found Califatlo after they were called for a vehicle stopped in the middle of highway.6:50 a.m. Friday — Steven P. Layton, 35, of Chicora was hurt when his car struck the back of a pickup on Route 356 just north of Hannahstown Road in Jefferson Township. Layton, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Police said Layton was cited for following too closely to another vehicle. Jason L. Buttenfield, 37, of Butler was the other driver.Thursday — A black and orange, 1999 KTM dirt bike was taken from an detached unlocked garage on Hays Road in Clearfield Township. The break-in happened between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 p.m. Thursday.3:15 p.m. Wednesday — Brent E. Henry, 40, of East Butler was found with a small bag of suspected marijuana and rolling papers after he was arrested on a warrant on North Road in Franklin Township. Henry, who was placed in Butler County Prison on the warrant, faces misdemeanor drug charges.May 12 — Someone stole unspecified electronic devices after breaking into three vehicles in the 1600 block of Route 38 in Concord Township. Police noted that two of the vehicles were unlocked. The thefts happened between 11 p.m. May 11 and 5 a.m. May 12.May 11 — A gray Gary Fisher Genesis mountain bike was stolen from a home on Stoughton Beach Road in Slippery Rock Township. The bike was taken between 5 and 10 a.m.
7:40 a.m. Sunday — Patric T. Weber, 20, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car crashed over an embankment and into a creek along Pine Street and Butler Road in East Franklin Township.7:10 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Anna E. Pfingstler, 22, of Dubois, Clearfield County, and Spencer A. Kelley, 18, of Lower Burrell, Westmoreland County, collided on Route 28 north just north of Iron Bridge Road in South Buffalo Township. The crash sent Kelley's car spinning into a guardrail.Pfingstler was cited for a lane violation.
May 5 — Someone stole $775 in currency from an office at Satellites Today Inc. on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, A check was also missing from a checkbook in the office. The theft happened between April 18 and May 5.
