Plane crash victims identified
The Federal Aviation Administration has identified the pilot and passenger who died in a plane crash in Centre County. The plane might have been heading to Butler County.
The pilot, Joseph T. Bernardo, 55, of State College and his wife, Valerie Bernardo, 54, of State College were listed as the victims.
According to FlightAware.com, the plane was expected to land and looked to be on its way to Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport.
Eric Weiss, a spokesman for the National Transportation Safety Board said a preliminary report will clarify the flight plan and other details about the flight. He said the report will be available on the NTSB.gov website in about one week.
Weiss said a final report, which includes probable cause for the crash, will be released in about one to two years.
