These items have been collected from various police departments.

8:51 p.m. Tuesday — One person apparently was injured when a vehicle driven by Timothy E. Swaney, 49, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped in traffic on Route 356 near Point Plaza.

The other driver, Lisa Kalberer, 54, of Butler, complained of a severe headache and was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

Police cited Swaney for driving at an unsafe speed. His vehicle had to be towed.

Tuesday — A purse was stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked at Preston Park on South Eberhart Road. The theft occurred between 7:50 and 8:40 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

Monday — Samantha B. Miller, 25, of Butler was arrested for trespass after she allegedly was found inside the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Police said she previously was barred from the store for a previous incident.

3:03 p.m. Monday — Ashley M. Brandt, 30, of Butler was injured when she lost control of her car and struck a guardrail on Delwood Road near the Route 422 overpass. She suffered minor injuries and her car had to be towed.

She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Police said motorists traveling on Delwood Road should slow down when approaching the sharp curve near the Route 422 overpass.

4:42 p.m. July 19 — Three people were injured in a rear-end wreck on Whitestown Road. The crash occurred when a vehicle driven by April Coddington, 35, of Butler struck the back of a vehicle driven by Brant Hackbarth, 35, of Butler.

Both drivers and Hackbarth’s passenger, who police did not identify, suffered unspecified injuries. Hackbarth was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Police cited Coddington for driving at an unsafe speed.

1:06 p.m. July 19 — One person was injured when a vehicle driven by Brandon Buller, 30, of Goshen, Ind., rear-ended a vehicle at the Route 8 north exit ramp and Route 422. Beverly Bopp, 55, of Johnstown, Cambria County, was the other driver.

A passenger in Bopp’s vehicle, who police did not identify, suffered a minor injury that did not require hospital treatment.

July 17 — Clinton A. Bonetti Jr., 19, of Butler was charged with being more than three times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a June crash on South Eberhart Road.

Police said Bonetti lost control of his vehicle around 11 p.m. June 17, traveled through several yards in Heartland Estates, striking a parked car, mailboxes and a house before getting stuck in a yard.

His blood alcohol level was found to be 0.249 percent, according to court documents. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.

Bonetti is charged with driving under the influence, DUI by a minor, underage drinking, minors prohibited from driving with any alcohol in their system, hit-and-run, trespass by vehicle, careless driving, reckless driving and driving at an unsafe speed.

10:41 a.m. July 11 — Betty K. Sheakley, 52, of Chicora was caught with suspected drugs and other contraband after she was stopped for speeding on South Duffy Road.

Sheakley allegedly was found with crack cocaine and a crack pipe in her purse. Police said they also found a syringe under the seat of Sheakley’s passenger, Shauna M. Cress, 33, of Butler.

Sheakley is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, speeding, failing to carry her vehicle registration, driving with improper tires and two seat belt violations.

Cress is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
