POLICE REPORTS
1:18 p.m. May 25 — Joyce M. McCully, 59, of Harrisville lost control of the car she was driving on West Sunbury Road in Clay Township, causing the car to hit a large landscaping stone. She then drove through a residential yard. The car was disabled from damage but McCully was uninjured.
12:25 a.m., May 25 — Robert J. Lanshcak, 54, of Grove City hit a bear while driving on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. No humans were injured.
11:46 p.m. May 24 — Dale Whipkey was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after allegedly punching his 35-year-old female relative twice in the right eye.
11:38 p.m. May 24 — An unnamed 27-year-old from McKeesport was arrested on William Flynn Highway-Centreville Pike for drug possession. The man was driving over the speed limit, according to police, and when police stopped him, field sobriety tests suggested that the man was impaired by controlled substances. Charges are pending blood test results.
4:51 p.m. May 24 — An unnamed 20-year-old driver was stopped for driving over the speed limit and police found controlled substances in the car. Charges are pending lab results.
4:35 a.m. May 24 — Zachary D. Angert, 32, of Karns City ran away from his car after he crashed into a tree on Fairmont Road in Fairview Township. After hitting the tree, the car rolled onto its passenger side and continued to slide on the road. It was unknown if Angert was hurt.
8:21 a.m. May 23 — While driving south on Feibel Road in Summit Township, Kylee E. McLafferty, 20, of Butler hit a telephone pole. McLafferty was uninjured.
12:38 a.m. May 25 — During a traffic stop on South Chestnut Street, police arrested Derius Murphy, 30, of Butler for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Police said he also had marijuana and drug paraphernalia on him. The passenger, 26-year-old Alaina Wideman, was arrested for having drug paraphernalia.
2:49 p.m. May 19 — While Sandra S. Eakin, 52, of Clintonville was driving on East Main Street in Mercer Township, the front left tire from the car fell off. As a result, Eakin lost control and drove into an embankment, flipping the car over before it came to a stop. Eakin was uninjured.
