Sentencings

Judge William Shaffer handed down the following sentences Thursday:

Melanie Ann Werner, 44, of Butler was sentenced to six months of probation with the first 14 days on house arrest with electronic monitoring and a $1,000 fine for driving under the influence. Werner was charged Nov. 18 and pleaded guilty March 16.

Abigail Grace Short, 21, of Cranberry Township was sentenced to four years of probation for theft. Short was charged Oct. 16 and pleaded guilty March 29.

Phillip Keith Main, 63, of Lyndora was sentenced to three to 18 months in jail for terroristic threats. Main was charged Nov. 3 and pleaded guilty March 22.

Chelsi Eva Wayman, 29, of Butler was sentenced to one year and six months of probation with the first 14 days on house arrest and a $1,000 fine for driving under the influence and disorderly conduct. Wayman was charged Sept. 28 and pleaded guilty March 22.

Cody James Craig, 30, of Vandergrift was sentenced to nine months to 23 and a half months in jail for receiving stolen property. Craig was immediately paroled. Craig was charged Sept. 11 and pleaded guilty March 15. In a second case, Craig was sentenced to three to 18 months in jail for retail theft. Craig was charged Aug. 11 and pleaded guilty March 15.

Judy Lynn Kradel, 63, of Butler was sentenced to four years of probation with the first 105 days on house arrest and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Kradel was charged Sept. 4 and pleaded guilty March 16.

Allan Scott Demko, 42, of Lyndora was sentenced to two to five years of probation with the first 105 days on house arrest, eight hours of community service and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence. Demko was charged June 29 and pleaded guilty March 31. In a separate case, Demko was sentenced to six months of probation, 15 hours of community service and a $300 fine for driving under the influence. He was charged Sept. 6, 2019, and pleaded guilty March 31.

DeMarco Glenn Francis, 21, of Oil City was sentenced to seven days to six months in jail, 10 hours of community service and $500 in fines for driving under the influence and two driving offenses. Francis was charged Feb. 22, 2020, and pleaded guilty March 9.

Ricky Dean Baum, 63, of Butler was sentenced to six to 23 and a half months in jail for retail theft. He was immediately paroled. Baum was charged Jan. 22, 2020, and pleaded guilty March 31.

Melissa Marie Rikey, 41, of New Castle was sentenced to six months of probation with the first week on house arrest and $1,050 in fines for driving under the influence and two driving offenses. Rikey was charged Dec. 10, 2019, and pleaded guilty Sept. 29.

Triston Lee Galarza, 23, of Slippery Rock was sentenced to 36 months of probation for two counts of theft. Galarza was charged June 27, 2019, and pleaded guilty March 1.

Caleb Justin Warrender, 23, of Niles, Ohio, was sentenced to 18 months of probation for conspiracy to commit theft. Warrender must also pay a restitution order. Warrender was charged July, 8, 2019, and pleaded guilty Jan. 28.

Cassandra Lynn Welsh, 31, of New Castle was sentenced to one year of probation for theft. Welsh was charged Sept. 12, 2018, and pleaded guilty March 29.

Kelli Marie Hildebrand, 47, of Freeport was sentenced to two years of state intermediate punishment, 18 months of probation and $2,800 in fines for driving under the influence. Hildebrand was charged Aug. 22, 2016, and pleaded guilty April 3, 2018.
