8:53 p.m. Monday - Gregory Gilliland, 33, of Oakland Township faces drug charges after he was allegedly found with a bag of suspected crack cocaine and seven stamp bags of suspected heroin following a traffic stop at Main and New Castle streets.Gilliland, who was also found with a suspected crack pipe, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.3:55 a.m. Sunday - Two men are accused of throwing a beer bottle at a vehicle traveling on North Main Street. The bottle, thrown from a rooftop, struck the vehicle driven by Thomas Smith of Butler.Charged with underage drinking and defiant trespass in the vandalism are William Zavidny, 19, of Muddy Creek Township and Eric Steighner, 20, of Center Township.

9:20 p.m. Sunday - Kevin McCloskey, 39, of Lyndora was arrested for allegedly assaulting Kathy Burkett, 41, of Lyndora during a domestic dispute at a Whitestown Road home. Burkett was treated for a neck injury at Butler Memorial Hospital.McCloskey, who is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond, is charged with simple assault, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and harassment.8:37 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Jason Albert, 21, of Butler Township and a sport utility vehicle driven by Susan Corrado, 49, of Penn Township collided on New Castle Road in front of the Burger Hut. The collision forced Corrado's vehicle into the rear of a car driven by Kimberly Oesterling, 21, of Butler Township.Corrado and Oesterling suffered minor injuries. Emily Lopus. 19, of Butler, a passenger in Albert's car, also suffered minor injuries.8:23 a.m. Wednesday - Mary Zapp, 38, of Renfrew was arrested for driving under the influence after her vehicle struck two trees along Comfort Lane. Zapp, in addition to DUI, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and three undisclosed traffic violations.

7:45 a.m. Friday - A piece of equipment on the side of a hydraulic lift accidentally swung out while on the back of a flatbed trailer and smashed 11 mailboxes along Route 8 in the Cooperstown area. A truck driven by Donald Bonin, no age given, of Gibsonia was towing the trailer.

7:45 a.m. Monday - A pickup truck driven by Leonard Pauba, no age given, of Boyers struck an embankment along Boyers Road in Marion Township.1 a.m. Sunday - Christopher Bushaw, 28, of Butler swerved his sport utility to avoid a deer on Schnur Road in Summit Township and struck a pickup truck parked on the side of the road.2:16 p.m. Friday - A tow truck driven by William Silvio Jr., 51, of Butler struck a tree along Route 138 in Clay Township. Silvio, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries, was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.11:45 a.m. Friday - A dump truck driven by Theodore Ryan, 50, of Karns City and a farm tractor towing a spreader, driven by Roger Barclay, 33, of Parker collided on Route 38 in North Washington Township. Barclay suffered minor injuries.9:58 a.m. Friday - A pickup truck driven by Thomas Booth, 72, of Cabot and a cab driven by Robert Colantoni, 34, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County collided on Route 228 at Bogaz Country Market in Clinton Township.Booth suffered major injuries and Katherine Holliday, 76, of Chicora, a passenger in the pickup, suffered moderate injuries. Their conditions were not known this morning. Booth was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.6:20 p.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Christopher Cooper, 18, of Parker and Crystal Cervenec, 20, of Kennerdell, Venango County, collided on Unity Road in Cherry Valley. Cervenec, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Cooper was cited for a stop sign/yield sign violation.Thursday - Numerous DVDs valued at $195 were taken between March 31 and Thursday from Eagle Video at Giant Eagle, Clearview Mall in Center Township.Wednesday - A woman, whom police did not identify, is suspected of taking $74 from a safe at Roxy's Diner, New Castle Road in Prospect. No other information about the theft was immediately available.

2 a.m. Saturday - Sheldon Gathers, 23, of Rimersburg was arrested for allegedly assaulting his 1-month-old son at the infant's Atchison Road home in Rimersburg. Gathers is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of children. The defendant was arraigned on charged and placed in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.2:30 a.m. Friday - Tina English, 18, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her car skidded off Lawsonham Road in Madison Township, Clarion County and struck a large rock and several hedge bushes.

2:09 a.m. Thursday - John Barlow Jr., 41, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after leading police on a chase on Route 58 and Uber Road in Findley and Springfield townships, Mercer County.Police said troopers caught Barlow after he tried to run from his vehicle after he stopped on a dead-end road. In addition to DUI, Barlow faces charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police as well as 15 traffic violations.
