James T. Matuke III, 29, was resentenced to the county Intermediate Punishment Program in Butler County Court on Wednesday.

A Butler man once sentenced to the state Intermediate Punishment Program entered a new plea agreement in three cases and was resentenced to the county Intermediate Punishment Program in Butler County Court on Wednesday.

James T. Matuke III, 29, admitted to violating the state program and pleaded guilty to two felony counts of conspiracy to commit possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

He was then immediately sentenced to 36 months of the county Intermediate Punishment, with the first 90 days in Butler County Prison or to be spent in an inpatient rehabilitation facility, followed by 90 days house arrest with electronic monitoring and reporting to the Day Reporting Center.

The remaining 2½ years will be spent on probation, followed by another 2 years of county probation from two other cases.

Matuke had previously pleaded guilty to the same charges and was sentenced to 2 years in the state Intermediate Punishment Program, followed by 60 months of probation in August 2016.

However, that previous sentence was revoked per the new plea agreement and sentence.
