July 7 — Mose A. Lane, 60, of Butler, was charged with simple assault, related to a July 4 altercation.Police said Lane's girlfriend called them to the couple's home. Lane had fled before they arrived.Police said the girlfriend told officers she had been in a wheelchair because of injuries from a recent vehicle crash.She told police Lane had been drinking and began hitting her in the face, then pushed her over in her wheelchair. She told police Lane then picked up the wheelchair and threw it down on her injured leg.July 6 — Ryan J. Dunmyre, 31, of Butler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after a June 3 arrest in Butler.Police said while executing an active arrest warrant for Dunmyre, they found crystal meth inside a case in his pocket.July 6 — Hannah M. Hines, 23, of Butler, was charged with making a false report to police related to a June 21 hit-and-run crash on West Penn Street in Butler.Police said Hines was involved in an accident and fled the scene. She filed a report with police claiming a black man stole her car, returned it and walked away.Police said when confronted, Hines admitted to making the story up.

6:14 p.m. July 10 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Winfield Road in Winfield Township.Police said they cited Jessica L. Terek, 34, of Butler, after she fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of her vehicle. Police said she was not injured in the crash.9:52 a.m. July 9 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Prospect Road in Forward Township.Police said they cited Martha R. Hemmerlin, 77, of Harrisville, after she hit a mailbox and guardrail on the side of the road.Police said Hemmerlin may have suffered minor injuries in the crash but was not taken to a hospital.8:36 p.m. July 8 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Glade Run Road in Forward Township.Police said they cited Sasha D. Watterson, 36, of Saxonburg, after she drove off the road and into the Glade Mill Creek.Police said Watterson was able to get out of the vehicle on their own and was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for suspected minor injuries.July 8 — Evan M. Gilchrist, 35, of West Sunbury, was charged with felony child endangerment and a misdemeanor first-offense DUI related to a July 7 domestic dispute on Hooker Road in Clay Township.Police said Gilchrist's wife claimed her husband left after they had an argument. She told police that Gilchrist drove away in his pickup truck with their one-year-old child in the vehicle.Police said they found Gilchrist in Grove City, and he was drunk. Police said a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.147%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.July 8 — Jonathan H. McFeaters, 32, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a June 27 traffic stop on North Main Street.Police said they stopped the vehicle for straddling the center line. Police said field sobriety tests showed McFeaters was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.138%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.11:39 a.m. July 8 — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Route 8 in Brady Township.Police said they cited Joanne Hetherington, 60, of Slippery Rock, after she pulled out in front of a semitrailer. The impact sent the semitrailer into a third vehicle.According to police, Hetherington was taken by ambulance to Grove City Medical Center, and the other two drivers were taken to trauma centers for treatment.12:12 a.m. July 8 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township.Police said they cited Mary S. Abbott, 56, of West Sunbury, after she failed to stop at a traffic light and caused a crash with a vehicle driven by Lindsay J. Scott, 22, of Connoquenessing.Police said no one was injured in the crash.4:03 p.m. July 6 — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on South Main Street in Harrisville.Police said they cited Helen L. Jenkins, 73, of Harrisville, after she turned left into the northbound lane of South Main Street and hit the side of a passing motorcyclist, John D. Thompson, 55, of Franklin.Police said Thompson was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance for injuries of unknown severity.Police said the impact forced the motorcycle into a third vehicle, in which a driver and passenger were uninjured.ZelienopleJune 28 — Wayne M. Johnston, 40, of Evans City, was charged with a felony, third-offense DUI, following an investigation into a June 2 hit-and-run crash on Grandview Avenue in
