Fire crews are at the scene of a blaze at a two-story house on Main Street in Karns City near the Karns City Junior Senior High School. The call came in about 1:30 p.m. it appeared the fire started in the kitchen on the first floor. There are no initial reports of injuries.

The house is divided into 3 apartments: 2 downstairs and 1 upstairs. The home is owned by Scott and Jackie Garing of Fairview Township.

The family was home at the apartment where the fire started in or around electric stove. Tenants in the other 2 apartments are not home.
