City man faces charges after alleged drug deal
A Butler man is accused of selling heroin to a police informant earlier this year in the city.
The Butler County Drug Task Force on Thursday arrested 46-year-old Clinton W. Scott in connection with the alleged drug deal March 13.
Officers said Scott met with the informant about 5:20 p.m. on the 300 block of West Jefferson Street and sold 10 unmarked stamp bags containing suspected heroin.
District Judge William Fullerton arraigned the defendant on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.
He is being held in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing was not immediately scheduled.
