Rebecca Merrill and Joseph Bocian

A May 1 wedding is being planned by Rebecca Merrill and Joseph Bocian, both of Richmond, Va.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Glen (Bill) and Susan Merrill of Rockford, Mich., formerly of Zelienople. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Bocian of Millstone Township, N.J.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She received her bachelor's degree in 2003 and master's degree in 2004 from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa. She is employed as an occupational therapist at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond.

Her fiance graduated in 1996 from Allentown High School and in 2000 with a degree in sociology from James Madison University. He is employed by a dot.com company in Richmond.
