Oct. 2 — A 2018 Freightliner boom truck was stolen from 84 Lumber on New castle Road in Franklin Township and a 2017 Ram 2500 owned by the business was damaged, police said.A known male climbed a barbed-wire fence to enter the property and fled by driving the boom truck through the gate, damaging the gate. The man, who was not identified, was apprehended by state police in New Castle.Sept. 30 — A car driven by Thomas W. Parker, 18, of Butler became airborne while traveling south in the area of 450 Parker Pike in Allegheny Township, went off the road, hit a tree, crossed to the other side of the road where it hit another tree and overturned at 7:30 p.m. with four juvenile female passengers, according to police. Parker and the front seat passenger had minor injuries, but declined to be taken to a hospital. Two of the passengers were flown to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and one was taken by ambulance to Grove City Hospital. The Parker Volunteer Fire Department; Superior, Emlenton and East Brady ambulance services; and Life Flight and Stat MedEvac also responded to the accident.Sept. 29 — A Harley-Davidson Electra Glide motorcycle driven by Nicholas A. DiBiase, 63, of Butler struck a deer while traveling south on Route 8 in Center Township just after 7:30 p.m. The driver and his passenger, Darla L. DiBiase, 55, of Butler were transported to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The bike sustained minor damage.Sept. 22 — Lucas J. Pry, 20, of West Sunbury was not injured after the car he was driving north on Route 8 near Stamm Road in Slippery Rock Township traveled off the road, struck an embankment and overturned.Sept. 20 — Richard A Hughes, 34, of Eau Claire was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital with serious injuries after a crash on West Eldorado Road in Parker Township. Police say he was driving a Yamaha Virago motorcycle, struck a log and was thrown from the bike at 6:45 p.m. The Bruin Volunteer Fire Department and STAT MedEvac also responded to the accident.
