[naviga:h3]Mars Ministerium plans prayer vigil[/naviga:h3]

MARS — The Mars Area Ministerium will stage a vigil for racial justice at noon Wednesday at the spaceship in Mars.

Active and retired clergy from the area will take turns leading prayer during the vigil, to which law enforcement have been invited. Community members, regardless of religious affiliation, are invited and signs are permitted.

Organizers ask attendees to be respectful, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The Moraine Elementary School kindergarten registration date is July 7. Parents need to call the school at 7724-865-2010, Ext. 5601, to schedule an appointment.

The Slippery Rock Area Elementary registration date is July 8. Parents need to call the school at 724-794-2960, Ext. 4001, to schedule an appointment.

Information packets will be sent to parents once they call and schedule an appointment time for their child.

Parents must provide the completed registration packet, the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency the day of registration.
