Successful candidates will proceed to the November general election.

A separate special election will also be held Tuesday to fill the 60th District seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives that is vacant due to the retirement of Rep. Jeff Pyle.

Voters will choose between Republican Abby Major, who was Pyle’s chief of staff, and Democrat Frank Prazenica Jr., a Freeport Area School Board member who worked as superintendent of the South Butler County School District.
