Wednesday — Police charged Joann Fisher, 54, of Butler with driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop at 7:24 p.m. April 18 on Old Plank Road. Police also cited Fisher for driving on the wrong side of the road and inspection violations.4:58 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Arthur Warsing, 44, of Butler and Alicia Haas, 35, of Sarver collided at Chesapeake and Main streets in Lyndora.
Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating the burglary of Close Auto on North Broad Street on April 18 or 19. The burglar broke a window and entered the business, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash and precious metals.Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
Monday — Police accused Douglas H. Flick, 45, of Oakland Township of being drunk about 10 p.m. Feb. 9 when he allegedly crashed a sport utility vehicle into the side of the Spillway Bar on Route 38 in Oakland Township.Flick, who had been drinking at the bar that night, drove away after hitting the building, according to court documents. Troopers a short time later found him at his home. They said he appeared to be intoxicated.Police eventually got a search warrant for his garage where they found the suspected hit-and-run vehicle, which was damaged. The suspect denied he was driving the vehicle.Police, however, charged Flick after speaking with customers who were at the bar that night and remember the defendant being there and leaving.Flick is charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, reckless endangerment, hit-and-run, failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident, public drunkenness and false reports to police.May 6 — Police filed three felony charges against Anthony J. Klingensmith, 28, of Penn Township, stemming from his alleged sexually explicit online conversation with a Chicora girl in March.Klingensmith is accused of convincing the girl, who police did not identify by name or age, to expose herself to him via “Facetime,” a video calling application.Additionally, according to court documents, the defendant propositioned the girl for sex and texted her a photo of his genitals.Klingensmith is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, corrupting of minors and criminal use of a communication facility.
