Devin James Earnest Rodgers, 22, of Butler was sentenced to 6 months of intermediate punishment for driving under the influence, to which he pleaded guilty Oct. 30. Rodgers must also pay a $300 fine and serve 60 hours of community service. He was originally charged June 19 with four counts of DUI.
William Vincent Beavers Jr., 27, of Detroit was sentenced to 1 to 3 years of prison with the Bureau of Corrections after pleading guilty Nov. 20 to possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver. He received 267 days of credit for time served. He initially faced eight drug related charges, five of which were felonies, on March 28.
Michael Riley Linn, 32, of Butler was sentenced to 5 years of intermediate punishment for driving under the influence. He must also pay a $1,500 fine and serve 100 hours of community service. He pleaded guilty to the charge Oct. 10. The case started on March 14, 2017, and he was facing two DUI charges and a charge of displaying an unauthorized certificate of inspection.
George Pennetti, 23, of Wexford was sentenced to 5 years of intermediate punishment and 90 days of house arrest with electronic monitoring for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. He also must pay a total of $2,500 in fines and serve 150 hours of community service. He pleaded guilty Oct. 16 and was originally charged Oct. 6, 2017, with four DUI counts and another for the suspended license.
John Paul Dobrowski, 28, of Evans City was sentenced to 6 months of intermediate punishment for driving under the influence. He also must pay a $750 fine and serve 60 hours of community service. He pleaded guilty to the charge Nov. 13, and in the plea deal, a second DUI charge and a charge of disregarding a flashing red signal were dropped. He first faced the charges May 6.
Christopher M. Friedman, 34, of Beaver Falls was sentenced to 2 to 5 months in county jail for criminal attempt of theft. Friedman also will be on probation for 1½ years and must pay $2,500 in restitution. He was first charged Aug. 1 with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and loitering and prowling at night.
Erika Erdean Ringler, 31, of Butler was sentenced to 1-year-minus-a-day to 2-years-minus-a-day for possessing a controlled substance with an intent to deliver, to which he pleaded guilty on Nov. 13. Ringler received 264 days of credit for time served, and she must serve 30 hours of community service. She was originally charged March 30 with possession with intent to deliver (two counts), possession of a controlled substance (two counts), possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.
Jack Howard Hartle, 64, of Butler was sentenced to 2 to 5 years of incarceration with the Bureau of Corrections for possession of a controlled substance with an intent to deliver, to which he pleaded guilty Oct. 30. For a second identical charge, he was sentenced to 6 months to 2 years of incarceration with the bureau. Hartle was originally charged March 28 with possession with intent to deliver (four counts), possession of a controlled substance (two counts) and possession of a drug. During sentencing, he received 267 days of credit for time served.
Maxine J. Jacobson, 22, of Butler was sentenced to 3 months of probation for disorderly conduct, to which she pleaded guilty Oct. 30. She must also serve 20 hours of community service. An additional charge of resisting arrest was dropped. The case started Feb. 8.
Alec Daniel Miller, 18, of Butler was sentenced to 6 months to 1 year of incarceration for simple assault and 4 to 11 months for simple assault, to both of which he pleaded guilty on Sept. 28. He received 366 days credit for time served. He was originally charged in the case Dec. 18, 2017, and was facing additional charges of robbery, inflicting threat and criminal conspiracy, all felonies. He must also serve 15 hours of community service. In a second case, he pleaded guilty to simple assault and conspiracy theft. For the first charge, he was sentenced to 6 months to 1 year of incarceration. The second charge got him 5½ to 11½ months of incarceration. He pleaded guilty to the charges Sept. 28. The case dates back to Dec. 13, 2017, and he originally faced the following charges: burglary, robbery, conspiracy (two counts), criminal trespassing, robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy, possession of a firearm by a minor, simple assault, four counts of reckless endangerment, loitering and prowling at night, and harassment.
Faith Marie Farren, 42, of Cranberry Township was sentenced to 1½ years of intermediate punishment for forgery. She was also sentenced to an equal amount of time in intermediate punishment for possession of a controlled substance and must serve 100 hours of community service. Farren pleaded guilty Oct. 30. The case dates back to April 18, 2017, when she was charged with 12 counts of forgery, seven counts of acquiring a controlled substance, theft, receiving stolen property and seven counts of possessing a controlled substance.
Ronae Marie Patterson, 29, of Washington was sentenced to 3 months to 1 year of incarceration for retail theft, but was immediately paroled. Patterson pleaded guilty to the charge Nov. 20 and originally faced a second charge — theft by deception. The case dates to April 5, 2015. Patterson must also pay restitution.
Paul William Butler Jr., 57, of Butler was sentenced to 6 months of intermediate punishment, fines totaling $1,300, and 60 hours of community service for driving under the influence and accident damage to an unattended vehicle. Butler pleaded guilty to the charges Sept. 24. The charges that were dismissed in the plea deal were: a second DUI charge, careless driving and restrictions of alcoholic beverages. The case dates back to May 27. In a second case, Butler was sentenced to 2½ years of intermediate punishment for driving under the influence and endangering the welfare of a child. Butler must serve 60 hours of community service and pay a $750 fine and more than $7,000 in restitution. He pleaded guilty to the charges Sept. 24. The case dates back to June 29 with charges including four counts of DUI.
Jacob Andrew Palatinas, 22, of Lick Hill was sentenced to 3 months to 1 year of incarceration for cruelty to animals. He was immediately paroled. He also must serve 100 hours of community service. Palatinas pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to shooting and killing a neighbor’s pet cat, named Kitten. Palatinas originally faced another charge, aggravated cruelty to animals, a felony that was dropped.
William Patrick Midberry, 37, of Butler was sentenced to 1 year of probation for theft, to which he pleaded guilty Dec. 4 and for which he was charged June 4. He must also pay a restitution of $1,898.
