5 staff, 3 residents have COVID-19
Concordia at the Orchard in Butler has five coronavirus-positive staff members who are self-quarantining and three positive residents, according to a news release on Concordia’s website.
“We have tested many residents and staff members, and most have come back negative, fortunately,” said the Monday update.
“Concordia has notified Orchard residents, their families and our employees and have also increased protective measures at the facility to further protect our residents and staff at that facility,” the release stated.
Two residents from the Butler location who tested positive for COVID-19 have died due to the virus.
According to spokesman Frank Skrip, Concordia staff are taking residents’ vital signs multiple times per day and actively monitoring for signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
Residents will remain in isolation as they have been since March 29.
