8:55 p.m. Tuesday — Peter E. Armstrong III, 18, of Butler was injured when a vehicle hit him as he walked in the middle of Acre Avenue. He suffered minor injuries, but did not seek medical treatment at the time, according to a police report. Robert C. Ordy, 48, of Butler was the driver.

Ordy was traveling south and Armstrong was walking south when the accident occurred. Police said no charges were filed.

Monday — Police obtained an arrest warrant for Donna J. Neely, 60, of Butler, who is charged with felony shoplifting stemming from an incident last summer at a Butler Commons store. She is accused of stealing a Vera Bradley purse, valued at $120, around 10:10 a.m. July 25 at David’s Hallmark Shop.

Neely, who has at least three prior convictions for shoplifting, is charged with a felony count of retail theft.

[naviga:h3]Middlesex Township Police[/naviga:h3]

Jan. 22 — Gerad S. Bennett, 35, of Middlesex Township was arrested on charges he forged a check, which belonged to a township woman, for $220 that he passed onto another man Dec. 17 for payment to replace a car windshield.

Bennett was arraigned on a felony charge of forgery and a misdemeanor charge of theft by deception. He was later released on $3,000 unsecured bail.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]

Wednesday — Kimberly M. Stabryla, 34, of Slippery Rock Township was arraigned on charges of being more than three times the state’s legal limit for alcohol stemming from a November traffic stop in Center Township. Police said she was stopped around 12:55 a.m. Nov. 28 on the 2200 block of Route 8.

She was taken for a blood test, according to court documents, that showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.269 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.

Stabryla was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving. She was released on nonmonetary bond.

9:40 a.m. Sunday — Elizabeth A. Cartwright, 65, of Chicora lost control of her pickup truck and struck an embankment. The vehicle rolled onto its driver’s side on Route 268 just west of Surface Mine Road in Parker Township. Neither Cartwright nor a passenger was injured. She was cited for disobeying traffic control devices.

7:57 a.m. Jan. 24 — A 12-year-old Chicora boy was caught with a knife at Moniteau Junior/Senior High School on Route 308 in Cherry Township. Police said the boy was charged in Butler County juvenile court with possession of a prohibited offense weapon.

Jan. 23 — Destiny L. Benton, 21, of Lyndora was charged with drugged driving and having marijuana in connection with a speeding stop earlier in the month in Center Township. Police said a hand-held radar device clocked her going 45 mph in a 35 mph zone around 10:40 p.m. Jan. 6 on Mercer Road near Blossom Drive.

A subsequent search of her vehicle, according to court documents, turned up a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. Results of a blood test later showed she had marijuana in her system.

Benton is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, speeding, driving too fast for conditions, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.

Jan. 23 — David L. Young, 26, of Karns City was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month in Center Township. He was pulled over around 3:25 a.m. Dec. 14 on the 2100 block of Route 8.

Police later took him for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.082 percent, according to court documents.

Young is charged with DUI, driving a vehicle with an open container of alcohol, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without insurance and without valid inspection, failing to keep right, and disregarding traffic lanes.

Jan. 23 — Brandon L. Hilderbrand, 22, of Franklin Township was charged with DUI in connection with a September traffic stop in Center Township. Police stopped him around 12:50 a.m. Sept. 8 on the 2000 block of Route 8.

A breath test indicated his blood-alcohol level was 0.127 percent, court documents said. In addition to DUI, Hilderbrand is charged with a rear lighting violation.

Jan. 21 — Devon J. Baptiste, 33, of Clearfield Township was charged in a shoplifting incident last month at a Clearfield Mall store in Center Township. He was allegedly caught taking nasal spray at the Giant Eagle supermarket.

Baptiste is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft, according to court documents, because this is his second shoplifting offense.

12:44 a.m. Jan. 18 — Sierra R. Frazier, 24, of Center Township was arrested for DUI on Route 8 in Center Township. She was taken for a breath test, which allegedly showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.174 percent. Frazier is charged with DUI and disregarding traffic lanes.
