4:21 p.m. Dec. 20 — Kristin E. Tate, 36, of Butler, was charged with felony retail theft and drug possession counts after an incident at Louis and Charles Salon, 1514 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township. Police said Tate allegedly attempted to conceal and steal several bottles of hair spray valued at $85.50. She was also found in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, police said.

4:52 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were injured in a crash on Route 28 in Sharpsburg, Allegheny County. Police said a 2017 Ford Fusion, driven by Amber D. Ricci, 22, of Glenshaw, was involved in a crash with a 2013 Ford Fusion, driven by Erin G. Pollock, 28, of Tarentum. Pollock and a passenger Benjamin A. Finley, 28, of Pittsburgh, were taken to St. Margaret’s Hospital for suspected minor injuries. No crash narrative was provided. Ricci was cited for overtaking vehicle on the left.
12:15 p.m. Tuesday — One person was injured in a crash on Route 66, Wayne Township, Armstrong County. Police said a 2007 Lexus RX350, driven by Amy I. Dunn, 58, of Irwin, was heading west in the passing lane when a deer crossed the road. The vehicle skidded on loose gravel, which caused it to cross into the oncoming lane of traffic and hit a guide rail before overturning three to six times and coming to rest in a corn field off the road. Dunn was taken to the Armstrong Center for Medicine & Health by Clarion Ambulance for suspected minor injuries. Dunn was cited for driving at a safe speed.
12:27 a.m. Tuesday — No injuries were reported in a crash on Route 85, Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong County. Police said a 2001 Subaru Legacy, driver’s name and address unreported, was heading west when the front bumper hit part of a tree that had fallen across the road. Police said they also responded to a separate crash at the same location due to the tree falling across the road.
5:56 p.m. Wednesday — One person was injured in a crash on Oscar Road near Hills Church Road, Cowanshannock Township. Police said Bradley Harkleroad, 60, of Wayne Township, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck which crashed into a tree. Harkleroad was extricated from the vehicle and taken from the scene by ambulance for medical examination. The road was closed for about two hours. Rural Valley Volunteer Fire and Dayton District Volunteer Fire departments, as well as Citizens Ambulance Service assisted on the scene.
5:30 p.m. Wednesday — An unnamed 61-year-old Leechburg man was charged with criminal trespass, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after an incident in Leechburg. Police allege the man picked the locked door of the basement of a home in which an 18-year-old Leechburg woman lived, and made threats to the woman while holding a knife. The woman immediately closed the door and called 911. The man was arrested and charged. No further information was released.

8:22 a.m. Wednesday — Police are looking for George B. Pyle III, no age reported, of Kittanning, after they say he escaped from the custody of the Sharon Community Corrections Center, West State Street, Sharon, where he was serving a sentence.
