Lauren Loebell scored the only goal as Butler's junior high girls soccer team defeated Blackhawk 1-0 Saturday.

Fontaine Rittleman made 19 saves to get the shutout. Playing strong defense were Megan McCleary, Dana McCurdy, Paige Rittleman, Ali Roberts, Alexa Gray and Mariah Mikula.

Pine-Richland defeated Butler, 6-0, Friday despite 36 saves by Golden Tornado goalkeeper Taylor Troyon.

In other games:

• Braden and Brock Sloan scored goals, but Slippery Rock lost to Hickory 3-2 in middle school action. Danielle Wissinger and Braden Sloan added assists.

The squad also defeated North Allegheny 5-3 as Michael Stutz tallied four goals and added an assist. Braden Sloan scored the other goal and added an assist while Brock Sloan, Wissinger, Kyle Hinchberger and Ali Lotz added assists.

• Michael Stutz, Cody Wolinski and Cody Prelec recorded goals as the Prospect Boys and Girls Club U-15 traveling soccer team blanked Beaver 4-0.

Wolinski, Quay Barnhart and Haley Angerett had assists while goalie Jordan Marks made five saves.
