Residents and staff at Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove celebrated Wear Your Favorite Hat Day on Wednesday as part of National Nursing Home Week. The 95 residents and 150 employees started with an Oktoberfest on Monday and rounded out the week with a barbecue and outdoor yard games Friday under the direction of Jen Fezel, activity director, and Scott Jordan, administrator. “This year has been especially hard with the COVID pandemic, so these festivities we have this week are especially welcome for a resident who may not have seen a loved one for over a year,” said Debra Monteleone, admissions director. The Harrisville facility is now open to family members.
