Turnpike delays between exits 39, 48 set overnight
ALLEGHENY COUNTY — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says motorists traveling between the Butler Valley, Exit 39, and Allegheny Valley, Exit 48, interchanges that they may have delays due to four intermittent, 20-minute traffic delays overnight beginning at 8 p.m. today and ending by 6 a.m. Thurday.
The delays will be both eastbound and westbound. Motorists entering the Turnpike at the Allegheny Valley Interchange heading westbound will be stopped at the interchange until the westbound paces are completed.
Turnpike maintenance and state police vehicles will restrict traffic to a speed of 20-25 miles an hour, allowing crews to complete line painting work.
