Butler Police11:19 a.m. Wednesday — Jessica Hilliard, 30, of Butler was charged with simple assault after she allegedly hit a woman she lives with at their Virgina Avenue apartment.The victim told police that Hilliard pushed her to the ground and kicked her in the ribs early that morning. She went to the hospital and when she returned home, Hilliard allegedly pushed her to the ground and began kicking her again.2:11 p.m. Tuesday — A vehicle driven by Ann Davis, 18, of Jefferson Hills, Allegheny County, struck the back of a vehicle driven by Brenda L. Laurencot, 51, of Slippery Rock while Laurencot was stopped at the intersection of Mercer and Penn streets.Police said there was minor damage to the vehicles, but Laurencot was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with neck pain.
Butler Twp Police4:19 p.m. Aug. 18 — Chelsea Schnur, 25, of Butler was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 8 and Cooledge Street.
State Police, Butler6:45 a.m. Thursday — Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Route 68 and Linwood Drive in Summit Township after a car turned onto Route 68 in front of an oncoming pickup truck.Police did not name the drivers of the two vehicles. Both drivers were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.7 a.m. Wednesday — Unknown suspects broke into a locked construction trailer at the intersection of Van Dyke and Eau Claire roads in Marion Township sometime overnight and stole a smart level device and a cell phone. The items belonged to RIG Consulting of Carnegie and Plum Construction of Greensburg.
State Police, Franklin4:50 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Nicholas T. Coulter, 19, of Grove City struck a cement barrier along Route 8 in Cornplanter Township, Venango County, after he fell asleep while driving.Police said Coulter then got out of the car while it was still running and in gear, and it went on its own into a utility pole.Coulter suffered unknown injuries but was not taken to a hospital. He was cited for a traffic lane violation.
