2:18 a.m. Oct. 25 — Da Pol, 38, of Butler was arrested for suspected drunken driving in the 300 block of North Bluff Street. Pol admitted he was drunk, according to court documents.A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.126 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.A search of Pol's car also turned up two burned aluminum cans used for cooking heroin, documents said.Pol is charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
1:02 a.m. Sunday — Kevin G. Willacy, 49, of Butler was arrested after a suspected domestic dispute on Boyd Avenue. Willacy, who is charged with simple assault and harassment, is free on $2,500 bail.2:27 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Christopher Stross, 21, of Butler rear-ended another vehicle on Route 8 at the Pickelgate Crossing. Police cited Stross for driving without valid inspection. Sarah Watson was the other driver.1:26 p.m. Friday — Vehicles driven by Lydia Stedeford, 24, of Bellevue, Allegheny County, and Brittany Buzard, 24, of Butler collided at Main and Chesapeake streets in Lyndora.3:53 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Susan Ekstrand, 21, of Butler struck the back of another vehicle on New Castle Road near Barracks Road. Ekstrand was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. Franklin Gray, 52, of Butler was the other driver.1:27 p.m. Thursday — Travis C. McCandless, 21, of Evans City was arrested after he was found passed out from allegedly huffing two cans of air duster in the parking lot at the Butler Commons shopping plaza.McCandless later regained consciousness but he refused medical treatment. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on a probation violation.Later, police charged him with illegal use of solvents or noxious substances and possession of solvents for release of toxic vapors or fumes.
Oct. 27 — Detectives charged James J. Kelly, 25, of Butler with trying to cheat on a drug test after a probation officer on Oct. 23 found a bottle of “clean” urine hidden in his crotch area at the Butler County Adult Probation office. Kelly is charged with furnishing drug-free urine.
5 p.m. Sunday — A 16-year-old Butler girl lost control of her sport utility vehicle, traveled up an embankment and struck a utility pole along Hardwood Road just north of Route 422 East in Clearfield Township. The SUV ended on its driver's side. The girl, who police did not identify, was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.Friday — Police charged Uriah A. Bish, 22, of Petrolia with stealing an aluminum gate and bell housing during an Oct. 16 break-in at a home in the 1100 block of Annisville Road in Washington Township. The stolen property is valued at $160.Bish is charged with burglary and two counts each of theft, receiving stolen property and trespass.State Police, Mercer6:20 p.m. Monday — Gina M. Francis, 57, of Stoneboro was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her car into a ditch on Route 965 east of Route 62 in Jackson Township, Mercer County.2:30 p.m. Monday — Charles W. The driver, Kimberly A. Hurst, 46, of Mercer, lost control of the car on Jackson Center Polk Road just east of Bradley Road and struck a dirt embankment and a tree.Hurst and Spencer, the lone passenger, were both taken to the Grove City Medical Center with “major injuries,” according to a police report. Their conditions were not known this morning. Police said neither was wearing a seat belt.1:38 p.m. Saturday — A young black female dog, believed to be a pit bull, was found wandering on Springfield Church Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County. The dog did not have a collar or any identification tag.The owner can claim the dog at the Stray Haven animal shelter in Greenville. The shelter's telephone number is 724-588-6161.6:15 p.m. Friday — A case of suspected shopping cart road rage outside a Pine Township grocery store ended with a Venango County man in trouble with the law.The suspect, Jack Slater, 57, of Polk is accused of intentionally ramming a shopping cart twice into a 27-year-old Grove City man's car in the Country Market parking lot at Pine Grove Square.Police said Slater fled but was later found and charged with criminal mischief.
