Dear Pappy:

57 years ago we were married at our little country church in Brady’s Bend. That day was the start of our life together as husband and wife. Who would have known the joys, sadness, uncertainties and blessings we would share.

I have spent six anniversaries without you but I know your spirt is still around me. What I would not give to have you with me in person. I know one day we will be reunited. Until that time, I will smile when I think of you and the years we spent together.

I feel blessed to have called you my husband, but more importantly my best friend. Much love to you, dear Carl.
