Newell, Tracy
Kristen Newell and Matthew Tracy, both of Moon Township, were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at First Lutheran Church in Pittsburgh. The Rev. David Gleason officiated. A reception followed at the Heinz Field West Club.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Deborah Newell of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Dan and Karen Tracy of McKees Rocks.
The matron of honor was Melanie Christie of Renfrew. Bridesmaids included Lisa Newell of Shelocta, Lindsey Dunn of West Chester, Jenna Butts of Carnegie and Erin McGowan of Pittsburgh. The flower girl was Haleigh Newell of Shelocta.
Performing the duties of best man was Adam Tracy of McKees Rocks. Ushers included Tim Newell of Shelocta and Mike Chambers, Frank Bryan and Scott Slepecki, all of McKees Rocks. The ring bearer was Luke Giles of Lawrenceville, Ga.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Butler High School; a 2001 graduate of Allegheny College, where she earned a bachelor's degree; and a 2003 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a master's degree. She is employed by the West Allegheny School District in Oakdale.
The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Montour High School, in 2001 from West Virginia University and in 2003 from Robert Morris University, earning a master's degree. He is employed by National City in Pittsburgh.
Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Moon Township.
