Berger, Alwine

Jonathan and Jaclyn Alwine

Butler residents Jaclyn Berger and Jonathan Alwine were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Oct. 27 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Steven Neff officiated. A reception followed at the Butler Days Inn.

The bride is the daughter of John and June Berger of Cranberry Township. Parents of the bridegroom are Rose Alwine and Barry Boarts, both of Kittanning.

The matron of honor was Julia Benson of Rochester. Serving as the maid of honor was Crystal Frankenstein of Zelienople. Bridesmaids included Amy Charles and Becky Stavar, both of Cranberry Township; Charity Zeigler of Zelienople; Randi Bolender of Mars; Rebecca Martin of Saxonburg; and Abbey Miller of Beaver Falls. The flower girl was Jade Berger of North Hills.

Performing the duties of best man was Mark Hulihan of Kittanning. Ushers included Dave Benson of Rochester; Aaron Chrisman, Cory Smeltzer, Zak Myers and Aaron Steffey, all of Kittanning; Chad DeMeio of Butler; and Joe Vorderbrueggen of New Brighton. The ring bearer was Connor Benson of Rochester.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Seneca Valley High School, a 2004 graduate of the ICMSchool and a 2006 graduate of the Bradford School of Business. She is employed by Glade Run Lutheran Services.

The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Kittanning High School. He works at St. Stevens Lutheran Academy.

Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Butler.
