Cratty, Murphy
Janet Cratty and Robert Murphy Jr. were united in marriage May 10 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Prospect. The Rev. Jim Hockenberry officiated. A reception followed at the church.
The bride is the daughter of Clair and Peggy Cratty of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Warren and Lucy Stamm of Butler and the late Robert Murphy Sr.
The honor attendant was Judy Stoops of West Sunbury. Bridesmaids included Linda Cashmere of Butler, Barb Lindey of Butler and Melinda Benninger of Boyers. Flower girl was Jennifer Nevel of Renfrew.
Performing the duties of best man was Jamie Cratty of Butler. Ushers included Jerry Rhodaberger of Herman, Andrew Stoops of West Sunbury and Gary Benninger of Boyers.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Slippery Rock High School and a 1997 graduate of Butler County Community College. She works at the Meridian United Presbyterian Church Day Care Center.
The bridegroom graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1969 and from California State College (California [Pa.] University) in 1973. He works for Applied Test Systems in Butler.
Following a honeymoon trip to Williamsburg, Va., the couple is making their home in Butler.
