Lefever, Powell
Emily Lefever and Michael Powell were united in marriage May 17 at Saxonburg Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Jim Gordon officiated. A reception followed at the Days Inn in Butler.
The bride is the daughter of Doug and Jeanne Lefever of Saxonburg. Parents of the bridegroom are Jim and Karen Powell of Brackenridge.
The honor attendants were Becky Lefever and Molly Lefever, both of Saxonburg. Bridesmaids included Amy Griffin of Natrona Heights, Becky Mertz of Slippery Rock, Michelle Nelson of Gaithersburg, Md., Lindsay Heidenreich of Alexandria, Va., and Erica Poston of Penn Township. Flower girl was Ellie Mertz of Slippery Rock.
Performing the duties of best man was Jim Powell of Natrona Heights. Groomsmen included Keith Powell of Washington, Cory Lefever of Saxonburg, Charlie May of Butler, Tate Pacek of Butler, Seth Tonet of Arnold and Cory Poston of Penn Township. Junior groomsmen were Nicholas Griffin of Natrona Heights and Jacob May of Butler.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2004 graduate of Butler County Community College. She works for Alle-Kiski Medical Center and Butler Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse.
The bridegroom graduated from Highlands High School in 2003 and from the Citizen's School of Nursing in 2006. He is a registered nurse at Alle-Kiski Medical Center.
Following a honeymoon trip to Disney World, the couple is making their home in Saxonburg.
