Geibel, Gerhart

Shawna and Ethan Gerhart

Shawna Geibel and Ethan Gerhart were united in marriage Aug. 9 at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Lester Knoll officiated. A reception followed at Vagabonds.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Darlene Geibel of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Donald and Doreen Gerhart of Butler, Mark and Carol Prokay of West Sunbury.

The honor attendant was Kristie Martin of Butler. Bridesmaids included Lindsay Hasychac of Seven Fields, Katie Peth of Renfrew, Shannon Stevenson of Renfrew, Julie Schwab of Milwaukee, Erika Vice of Mount Sterling, Ky., and Mandy Young of Cleveland. Flower girl was Kaylin Schawl of Butler.

Performing the duties of best man was Michael Sroka of Butler. Ushers included Paul Bernot of Cranberry Township, Ira Gerhart of Edinboro, Todd Kradel of Butler, Jordan Schawl of Butler, Jeremy Walsh of Oley and Daniel Yerace of Cranberry Township. Ring bearer was Brodie Martin of Butler.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She works for the Butler School District.

The bridegroom graduated in 2001 from Butler High School and in 2005 from Slippery Rock University. He is employed by U.S. Steel.

Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple are making their home in Butler.
