10:44 p.m. March 21 — Scott J. Caccamo, 19, was arrested after he allegedly shoved a 16-year-old girl into a wall at his home on the 200 block of Zeigler Avenue. The girl suffered minor injuries. Caccamo was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and he was later released on nonmonetary bond.

Thursday — A blue and white, 2016 Yamaha YFZ450R all-terrain vehicle was stolen from a garage in a burglary at a home on Alameda Road. The break-in happened between noon and 5 p.m. The ATV had the license plate 3D968.A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.March 30 — Corey M. Pettigrew, 23, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence stemming from a crash about 11:35 p.m. March 9 at Meridian Road and Roe Avenue where he struck a utility pole.In addition to DUI, he is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, and driving too fast for conditions.March 30 — Police charged Victoria N. Schmidt, 18, of Butler with fraudulently activating gift cards in connection with a reported employee theft Feb. 16 at the TJ Maxx store at the Butler Crossing shopping plaza. She is accused of using the cards to buy $106 in merchandise at the store. Schmidt is charged with misdemeanor counts of access device fraud and theft and theft by deception and a summary count of retail theft.7:13 a.m. March 27 — Brittany D. Williams, 29, of Chicora allegedly was caught with three stamp bags of suspected heroin and a syringe in a room at the Almost Home Motel on New Castle Road. Police said she suffered an apparent overdose at the motel. She was treated with Narcan and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Williams is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.March 20 — Matthew P. Williams, 35, of Butler was charged with failing to pay for a Samsung Galaxy 20 cellphone valued at $1,199 in an alleged shoplifting incident in March at the Butler Commons' Walmart. Police said Williams used a self-checkout register about 11:50 p.m. March 14 and did not pay for the phone. He also under-rang a car stereo by $175.84, according to court documents. He is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of retail theft.10:50 p.m. March 17 — Aaron T. Moyers, 42, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute at their Old Plank Estates apartment. Police said Moyers grabbed the woman by the throat two different times while attempting to strangle her. He also is accused of hitting her on the side of the head near the right eye and biting the middle finger on her right hand. Moyers was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond following arraignment.

4:14 a.m. Friday — Christopher G. Batyko, 40, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his wife during a domestic dispute at their home on Woodbine Drive.The victim told police that Batyko was intoxicated when he punched her in the forehead, according to court documents. She said he also struck her with his right knee four or five times. Police noted that the victim had lumps and bruises on her forehead.District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned Batyko on charges of simple assault and harassment. The defendant was released on nonmonetary bond and placed on house arrest. He is to have no contact with his wife and must wear a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring bracelet..Stoughton set other conditions on Batyko's releaser including that he abstain from drugs and alcohol and complete a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Wednesday — Police reported they are investigating the reported sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl about 10 years ago at a home on Old East Butler Road in Oakland Township. No other information was provided.4:55 p.m. March 28 — A sport utility vehicle driven by Rachel N. Gardocky, 24, of New Castle struck an embankment on Interstate 79 south just north of East Lancaster Road in Lancaster Township. Gardocky was not injured, but her vehicle had to be towed. She was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle.6 p.m. March 27 — Several lights at The Heights at Slippery Rock apartment complex in Slippery Rock Township were broken with a BB gun. Police said the investigation is ongoing.March 23 — Brittany L. Foy, 33, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence stemming from a February traffic stop in Jefferson Township. Police said she was stopped about 2 a.m. Feb. 22 on Route 356. She was subsequently taken for a breath test that showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.113 percent. A level of 0.08 percent in considered intoxicated under state law. In addition to DUI, Hickman is charged with failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and a rear lighting violation.8:47 p.m. March 21 — James J. Smith Jr., 26, of Evans City was charged with having marijuana and other drug contraband following a traffic stop for speed at Sunflower Road and Sunset Drive in Center Township. Smith is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and speeding.March 20 — Shannan V. Neff, 43, of West Sunbury was charged with stealing a computer tablet from a Center Township convenience store in March. She is accused of taking the tablet, valued at $199, that was on the coffee counter at the Sheetz on Route 8. She is charged with misdemeanor counts of theft and receiving stolen property.March 19 — Police charged Wendy C. Hickman, 29, of Butler Township with being more than three times the state's legal limit for alcohol stemming from a January traffic stop in Penn Township. She was pulled over Jan. 11 on Route 8.Hickman later was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test that indicated her blood-alcohol level was 0.272 percent, according to court documents. Toxicology reports also showed she had marijuana in her system.She is charged with driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, DUI, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, using the wrong lane to make a left turn and careless driving.9:36 p.m. March 16 — An unknown suspect tried to get into a 41-year-old woman's home on Mars Evans City Road in Callery, before fleeing on foot. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
