Walter, Norris
Marianne Walter and Sgt. Thomas Norris were united in marriage Aug. 9 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Steven Neff officiated. A reception followed at the Four Points by Sheraton in Cranberry Township.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Ellen Walter of Butler and the late Charles Walter. Parents of the bridegroom are Christopher and Sandy Norris of Butler.
The honor attendant was Erin Thompson of Lighthouse Point, Fla. Bridesmaids included Cindy Norris of Evans City, Melissa Ahl of Harrisville, Lauren Stack-Ditmore of Lancaster, Meghan Straznick of Cheswick, Lauren Wach of Elizabeth and LeeAnn Woods of Colorado Springs, Colo. Flower girl was Billie Winters of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was Kalyn Rice of Butler. Ushers included Sgt. Ryan Ahl of Harrisville, Adam Fedosick of Butler, Sean Huegel of Butler, Jon Norris of Evans City, Sgt. Glenn Vaugh of New Castle and Sgt. Joe Wach of Elizabeth. Ring bearer was Joey Wach of Elizabeth.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She received her master's degree in 2008 from Edinboro University. She works for the Wesley Spectrum Family and Child Development Center in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 2002 from Butler High School. He works for the Albion State Correctional Institute in Albion and is a member of the National Guard, A Co. 1/112 Infantry.
After a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, the couple is making their home in Butler.
